Three days is enough to fall for Marrakech if you do not rush it. This itinerary keeps you mostly inside the medina, on foot, with your riad as a calm base to return to.

Adjust the pace to the season — see the best time to visit Marrakech.

Day 1 — The heart of the medina

Ease in. Breakfast on the rooftop, then wander the souks before the heat — follow the colour rather than a map. In the late afternoon, watch Jemaa el-Fna come alive, then dine somewhere quiet back near your riad.

Day 2 — Palaces, gardens and a hammam

See the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs in the morning, then escape the midday sun in a traditional hammam. Spend the golden hour at the Jardin Majorelle or the Secret Garden before another rooftop dinner.

Day 3 — Crafts, calm and a slow goodbye

Visit the tanneries or a craft cooperative, pick up a souvenir you will actually keep, and leave the afternoon open for the courtyard pool. If you have energy, add a guided experience — see our experiences.

Where to base yourself

This itinerary works best from a riad inside the walls. We explain why in where to stay in Marrakech — or simply browse our riads and book direct.

Marrakech rewards wandering. Leave gaps in the plan and let the medina fill them.
